  • Bring Financial Analytics team to a new level of Operations and Customer Success

About the position

As the Business Controller, you will be part of Group FP&A and will primarily be responsible for owning the financials and will oversee the entire financial performance of the Nordics business. You will be the go-to financial person in our Nordics organization and perform recurring ad-hoc / recurring business performance analysis to assist the Group FP&A and the country heads to understand business performance. You will be an important point of contact for internal key stakeholders, reporting to the Group FP&A, and ultimately the Group CFO. The role presents a great opportunity for a pro-actively minded individual with sound experience of financial accounting and business controlling to make a significant contribution. The individual should relish the chance to improve current financial processes, as well as perform important financial analyses to better manage the day-to-day financial demands of the business.


Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the numbers: understand drivers behind revenue and cost fluctuations
  • Communicate and discuss with key stakeholders, such as country heads and country leadership, with regards to profitability, cash flow, and the state of financial processes
  • Desire to be part of a fast-moving, growing business where one has the opportunity to significantly improve current financial processes
  • Prepare and report the monthly management reporting, cash flow and operating metrics versus budget
  • Prepare and analyze (cash flow) forecasts

The challenge

Your profile

What you will be doing as Product Owner – Data Management

  • You help translate business requirements into (future) products and product enhancements;
  • You lead a team through the design, planning and implementation of a product lifecycle ( SDLC, Minimum viable product, etc.);
  • You take full ownership of all data processing operations throughout all countries;
  • You create, oversee and manage the developmental backlog for data extraction, modeling and processing;
  • You define a future state of data processing and continuously improve team and capabilities.

So, within a year from now, we expect that:

  • You have become the go-to person for data processing related inquiries, where all Financial Analytics data processing activities throughout all applicable countries are managed and supported via you and your team;
  • Your team manages the complete developmental backlog for data reception, modeling and processing, co-developing with other internal stakeholders where needed;
  • A future state of data processing has been designed by you and your team, resulting in a scalable and sustainable processing environment;
  • You have established continuous alignment with Architects, Developers and country-specific stakeholders;

What you bring to the table

If you find your future state attractive, we do have a high-level view on what personality traits or capabilities we would currently like you to have.

  • A deep understanding of data processing/ ETL components and best practice methodologies, from extraction to validation to modeling to storage;
  • A strong drive to improve, balancing R&D investments with optimizations of day-to-day operations;
  • Familiar with one or more of the following technologies: SQL,R, Python, Spark.
  • The ability to get his/her hands dirty and dive into the code when needed, searching for optimal solutions given possible boundaries or limitations;

Technical skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server (preferably day-to-day work)
  • Experience in MS SQL topics such as data modelling, data types, query tuning, indexing, constraints and query plans
  • Experience with processing a large amount of data (10+ mil. rows)
